JioCinema, the official broadcaster of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), announced a star-studded addition to its expert panel on Tuesday. The platform, renowned for its free and multilingual coverage, will reach even wider audiences with the inclusion of Haryanvi as the 12th language for IPL broadcasts.
The 2024 edition of IPL will kick off on Friday (March 22), with the clash between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Leading the charge in Haryanvi will be none other than the legendary Virender Sehwag, known for his explosive batting and charismatic personality. Fans can expect Sehwag’s trademark wit delivered in his native tongue alongside Manvinder Bisla, the hero of the IPL 2012 Final.
In another exciting development, Ajay Jadeja, a former Indian cricketer, will make his debut as a Gujarati language expert. This move expands JioCinema’s regional commentary options, catering to a broader cricket fanbase.
Further bolstering their expert line-up, JioCinema welcomed IPL champion Shane Watson and former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson. Watson, a veteran of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and CSK, will offer valuable insights fresh from the playing field. Hesson, known for his strategic expertise, will share his knowledge gained from coaching stints with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and RCB.
This strategic selection by JioCinema brings together a diverse panel of cricketing minds, offering fans a plethora of perspectives and in-depth analysis throughout the IPL season.
