As the excitement builds for the commencement of the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), fans eagerly await the clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 22. The electrifying match is slated to take place at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the home ground of the five-time champions CSK.
Virat Kohli’s beast-mode batting session
In preparation for the season opener, players from both teams have intensified their training regimes to ensure a formidable start to their campaign. Recently, the official social media handle of the IPL shared a special video of the RCB practice session featuring their star cricketer and former skipper Virat Kohli.
Kohli showcased his prowess in the nets, displaying fluent batting skills and a wide array of shots from his repertoire. From elegant cover drives to powerful shots down the ground and over the covers, Kohli appeared to be in excellent form after a break from action.
Glenn Maxwell’s light-hearted imitation
Adding a touch of humor to the practice session, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was spotted imitating Kohli’s batting shots and on-field antics. Joined later by Mohammed Siraj, Maxwell engaged in playful mimicry of Kohli’s batting prowess. Despite the light-hearted atmosphere, Maxwell couldn’t help but admire Kohli’s focus and dedication to his craft, as the Indian star remained entirely absorbed in his batting practice.
