The professional American football team, the Seattle Seahawks, is situated in Seattle. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of The Seahawks participate in the National Football Conference (NFC) West, which is where the Seahawks represent the National Football League (NFL). Since 2002, they’ve played their home games at Lumen Field in Seattle’s SoDo district. Seattle Seahawks fans broke the Guinness Book of World Records twice for the most boisterous crowd at a sporting event. The “12th man” or “12s” is a collective term for Seattle Seahawks supporters.

The Chicago Bears play professional American football. Located in the Chicago metropolitan area, the Chicago Bears are one of only two remaining NFL franchises from the NFL’s founding in 1920. The Bears have won nine NFL titles, including one Super Bowl. They now play home games at Soldier Field on the Near South Side of Chicago, adjacent to Lake Michigan.

The Super Bowl Championship

The previous season, the Seahawks finished with an NFL-best regular season record of 13-3 and earned the NFC’s #1 playoff seed. The Seahawks’ defense performance in 2013 was one of the best in the Super Bowl era. 

The Seahawks want to continue their momentum from the previous season, tying with the Denver Broncos for an NFL-best regular season record of 13–3 while earning the NFC’s past-championship results. The Seattle Seahawks logo was a stylized royal blue and forest green osprey’s head based on art masks. The team’s home jerseys were royal blue with white and green sleeve stripes and white numerals and names. 

On March 1, 2002, they redesigned the logo and uniforms. The Seahawks changed their colors to a lighter “Seahawks Blue” and lime green piping. The helmets were also changed from silver to blue after a fan poll. The squad lost multiple key players in free agency, including wide receiver Golden Tate, during the 2014 season, wide receiver Sidney Rice and defensive end Chris Clemons, to retirement. Despite making five mistakes and falling behind 19-7 late in the game, they beat the New England Patriots in overtime to reach the Super Bowl. Owner Paul Allen died in October 2018 after a prolonged fight with cancer. 

In 2019, the Seahawks put up their best record since their last trip to the Super Bowl at 11–5. They still lost 3 out of their previous four games and their chance to win the NFC West. The Seahawks finished with a 12-4 record and won the division for the first time in four years. Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos, the team he and the Seahawks, beat in Super Bowl XLVIII.

In NFL history, the Chicago Bears have struggled

The Bears’ all-time leading scorer until Week 5 of the 2015 campaign was Robbie Gould. Walter Payton retains the franchise record. He racked up 16,726 running yards during his career. That was an NFL record until Emmitt Smith broke it in 2002. At 73–0, George Halas holds the record for the most significant margin of victory in an NFL game (playoff or regular season) with a 73–0 win over the Washington Redskins in the 1940 NFL Championship Game. With 112 wins, Bill Ditka is the closest Bears coach to George Halas. 

The most significant defeat in club history was a 52–0 loss against the Baltimore Colts in 1964. Charles Tillman and teammate Lance Briggs became the first pair of players to return two interception-returns-for-a-touchdown in consecutive games. Chicago also made league history by scoring a touchdown throw, a touchdown run, a botched punt for a touchdown, a blocked punt against the Titans, and a punt for a score in the same quarter. Devin Hester kicked off a Super Bowl for a score and was the first player to return to the opening.

Seattle Seahawk

As of the 2020 season, the Seattle Seahawks have competed in 45 NFL seasons, dating back to their expansion year of 1976. The team has compiled a 367–340–1  regular-season record and a 17–18  record in the playoffs, for an overall form of 384–358–1 and a .517 winning percentage. Seattle had reached the playoffs in 19 seasons, including the 2005 season when they lost Super Bowl XL to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The record for the most seasons played by a player with the Bears is 16, while Walter Payton holds the record for most consecutive games played with 186. In second place is Patrick Mannelly, who played 186 games from 1975 to 1987 at running back. Only Steve McMichael has played more consecutive games in a Bear uniform. 

Chicago Bears

The 1940 Chicago Bears team holds the record for the most significant margin of victory in an NFL game (playoff or regular season) with a 73–0 win over the Washington Redskins. The most considerable defeat in club history was a 52–0 loss against the Baltimore Colts in 1964. Coach George Halas holds the team records for coaching the most seasons with 40 and having the most career victories with 324. 

In the 2006 season, Devin Hester had six touchdown returns, setting a record for most rescues in a single season. He also became the first player to return the opening kick of a Super Bowl for a touchdown. Hester broke the previous high in punt returns against the Carolina Panthers in 2011. 

On December 20, 2010, he set an NFL record with his 14th career return against the Minnesota Vikings. In 2012, Charles Tillman set the record for most forced fumbles in a single game with four against the Tennessee Titans. Also, against the Titans, Chicago became the first team to score a touchdown pass, a touchdown run, an interception return for a touchdown, and a blocked kick or punt for a score.

On the other hand, the Chicago Bears concluded the previous season with six victories and 11 defeats, placing them fourth in the rankings according to the performance of 2021. They are strong opponents for the Seahawks. The boys in the team play hard and energetically. Last season did not go well for the Seahawks. According to the 2021 performance, they finished the previous season with seven wins and ten losses and placed 15 in the ranking table. The boys of the team have already completed their training camp with hard work.

Preseason games were produced in-house by Seahawks Broadcasting and televised by KING-TV, channel 5 (and, in 2008, also on sister station KONG-TV since KING, an NBC affiliate, was committed to the Summer Olympics in China). Curt Menefee (the host of Fox NFL Sunday) has been the Seahawks’ TV voice since the 2009 preseason. As of the 2018 season, there are no simulcasts of any Seahawks games on ESPN’s Monday Night.

Broadcasting Media of the Chicago Bears

Football airs on CBS affiliate KIRO-TV. In addition, any Saturday or Sunday afternoon games broadcast by CBS (usually—but not always—with the Seahawks hosting an AFC opponent) will air on KIRO-TV. On the same day, WBBM (780 AM) and its simulcast partner, WCFS-FM (105.9 FM), broadcast Bears games. Since 2015, WRTO and WVIV-FM have aired Bears games in Spanish. The Bears’ play-by-play announcers have included Jack Brickhouse, Joe McConnell, and Wayne Larrivee.

Preseason games for the Chicago Bears are broadcast on WFLD (channel 32). The station also carries most of the team’s regular season games through NFL on Fox. AFC clubs’ home games versus the Bears are broadcast on WBBM-TV, the Bears’ unofficial “home” station from 1956 until Fox won the NFC rights in 1995.

Then the team revealed a new alternative helmet that players will use during two games throughout this 2022–2023 National Football League season. The design of the helmet in orange “marks the first time in team history that the primary color of the Bears helmet is anything other than navy blue,” the article stated. According to the Bears, “We believe our jerseys are the best in sports, if not the most iconic.” Chair George H. McCaskey. “So, we’re not looking to overhaul it.” We’re just looking to improve the current look periodically. It will be unveiled. The new orange helmet will debut on Thursday night, October 13, as the Bears play their counterparts, the Washington Commanders, at Soldier Field.
