Argentina squad announced for World Cup in Qatar

There are only 9 days left for the football World Cup in Qatar. Participating teams are announcing their teams one by one ahead of the World Cup. This time, Lionel Messi’s Argentina entered the list. The two-time world champion team announced the 26-member World Cup squad on Friday.

For the past few days, the injury problem has been worrying Argentina’s supporters. Because Paulo Dybala and Di Maria were likely to be out of the team due to injury. But in the end, Argentina coach Scaloni included them in the World Cup team due to injury concerns.

Scaloni has lined up Argentina’s defense for this year’s World Cup with experienced defenders such as Nicolas Otamendi, Christian Romero, Gonzalo Montiel, Juan Faith, Nauel Molina and Nicolas Taliafico.

Along with that, the responsibility of managing the midfield has fallen on Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo de Paul, Alejandro Gomes and Enzo Fernandes.

And in the attack, Julian Alvares and Joaquin Correa have been replaced with Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolas Gonzalez and Paulo Dybala.

Argentina’s journey to Qatar World Cup will begin with a match against Saudi Arabia on November 22. Then on November 27, Scaloni’s disciples will fight against Mexico. Poland will be Messi’s opponent in the last match of the group stage on December 1.

Goalkeepers: Emiliano Martinez, Jeronimo Rulli and Franco Armani.

Defenders: Nauel Molina, Gonzalo Montiel, Christian Romero, Herman Peceza, Nicolas Otamendi, Lisandro Martinez, Marcos Acuña, Nicolas Taliafico and Juan Faith.

Midfielders: Rodrigo de Paul, Leandro Paredes, Alexis McAllister, Guido Rodriguez, Alejandro Gomes, Enzo Fernandes and Ezequiel Palacios.

Forwards: Angel Di Maria, Lautaro Martinez, Julián Alvarez, Paulo Dybala, Nicolas Gonzalez, Joaquin Correa and Lionel Messi.
